I can be a bit cynical at times and I admit I had my cynicism all primed and ready to go as I downloaded Google Chrome and installed it on my laptop. Â I decided to give it a quick 5 minute test, find something wrong with it, then come on here and give it a sarcastic blast and get on with my day.
To my mild disappointment it works great! Â It loads Technet pages faster than IE7, and when it detected that I needed Flash to view the Youtube video in one of my blog posts it installed it and restarted just that one browser tab faster than I could blink.
Download Google Chrome and try it yourself.
I’m not a big fan of search engines that can’t return good results . The new Cuil search engine has been launched, developed by ex-Google engineers, and I’m disappointed so far .
Do the people at Microsoft realise that Google is better for finding stuff on the Microsoft website than their own search engine? Google, first result is spot on. Live Search, a whole bunch of crap.

I did a search via the Internet Explorer 7 search bar today which happened to still be configured to use Live.com (the default setting). I was quickly reminded why I stick to Google instead of Live. Not only didn’t the first page of results have what I was looking for, it didn’t even have any Microsoft.com results.
